Central House
Full life-safety refit across an eight-storey office tower in central Manchester, phased over twelve weekends with no impact to weekday tenancy.

A live multi-tenant tower,
refitted floor by floor.
Central House sits on a 24/7 occupancy contract, there was never a window where the building could be emptied. The brief was to upgrade the dated conventional fire alarm to a fully addressable L2 system without ever leaving a tenant unprotected.
We planned the work as a rolling overlap: temporary detection covering one floor while the permanent install happened on the next. Every cause-and-effect was rebuilt from the existing as-built drawings and reverified with the building manager before each floor went live.
Quick Overview
L2 addressable detection
Replaced 1980s conventional panel with a multi-loop addressable system across 8 floors.
Rolling floor handover
Temporary protection on every floor until the permanent system was commissioned.
Emergency lighting upgrade
Self-test fittings on every escape route with central monitoring.
Cause-and-effect rebuild
